FAQ
Do you only work with pregnant or postpartum women and parents?
While I specialize in supporting mothers, parents, and perinatal mental health, I also work with a broader range of clients — including women who are not pregnant or postpartum, as well as men. I support individuals navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, stress & burnout, life transitions, relationships, self-esteem, and personal growth. My practice is a welcoming space for anyone seeking compassionate, supportive therapy.
How do I book a session?
The easiest way to book a session with me is by visiting my online booking calendar. There you can conveniently choose your preferred date and time for a free initial consult call or a regular 50-min counselling session (available in-person or online).
Do you provide in-person sessions?
Yes! In-person sessions are available at my Tsawwassen office and Walk & Talks are available on the Boundary Bay Dyke Trail.
Do you offer virtual counselling sessions?
Yes! In addition to in-person services, I offer secure video counselling sessions for clients located throughout British Columbia (Registered Clinical Counsellor) and Alberta (Registered Psychologist), making support accessible from the comfort of your home. Telephone counselling is also available.
What if my schedule doesn't align with your current availability?
I understand that finding a time for counselling can be challenging, especially for busy parents and professionals. If my listed availability doesn't fit your schedule, please reach out. I strive to offer flexible appointment options whenever possible and am happy to discuss potential alternatives.
What can I expect during the first session?
The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other, discuss what brings you to counselling, explore your goals, and begin building a supportive and collaborative therapeutic relationship at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
Are counselling sessions covered by insurance / extended health benefits?
Many extended health benefit plans provide coverage for counselling services. Insurance plans can vary, so please be sure to contact your individual insurance provider to verify your coverage and reimbursement for counselling by a Registered Clinical Counsellor (for BC clients) or Registered Psychologist (for Alberta clients only). Once payment is collected after your session, you will receive an official receipt with information required to submit your insurance claim.
