You are not alone in wondering about this. If you’re feeling uncertain, please feel welcome to book a free initial consultation call and we can discuss potential next steps for support.
Sometimes I like to explain counselling as a “maintenance check” for mental health, similar to how we do this for a car. We don't wait until the engine breaks down before getting it checked—we bring it in for regular maintenance to keep it running well and to catch small issues before they become bigger ones.
Counselling can be thought of in a similar way. You don't have to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, navigating a life transition, or simply wanting to understand yourself better, therapy offers a space to check in, tune up, and care for your wellbeing before you're running on empty.

While I specialize in supporting mothers, parents, and perinatal mental health, I also work with a broader range of clients — including women who are not pregnant or postpartum, as well as men. I support individuals navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, stress & burnout, life transitions, relationships, self-esteem, and personal growth. My practice is a welcoming space for anyone seeking compassionate, supportive therapy.

Many extended health benefit plans provide coverage for counselling services. Insurance plans can vary, so please be sure to contact your individual insurance provider to verify your coverage and reimbursement for counselling by a Registered Clinical Counsellor (for BC clients) or Registered Psychologist (for Alberta clients only). Once payment is collected after your session, you will receive an official receipt with information required to submit your insurance claim.
